Pro-Action Awards 2018

Wow, what an evening!

Thursday 28 June 2018 showcased a range of talent and compassion from Hertfordshire.  Pro-Action hosted our annual Awards Evening at Beales Hotel in Hatfield.

With over 120 guests in attendance, we had young people and their families waiting to discover whether they had won a prize in our first ever YAMA Young Person's Photography Competition, as well as many people nominated for one of our coveted awards celebrating youth and children's work in Hertfordshire.

The evening began with a warm welcome from our CEO Dave and a short presentation on the work we do in the county, supporting our Members to enrich young lives, through our key areas of Safeguarding, Quality and Wellbeing.  Our Chair, Siobhan Purvis introduced herself and the trustees around the room, launching the awards.

What followed was an evening of glamour, surprise, recognition and a lucky deck of cards. Thank you all for making it such a memorable event.

We also received lots of positive feedback from guests who expressed their enjoyment of being able to share the special occasion with our other Members.

One guest said: 'Amazing event! So nice to see the hard work of volunteers begin recognised.'

Another stated how impacting it was to hear the inspiring stories of our nominated finalists: 'One of the few award ceremonies to read why people have been nominated. Loved this as it's so important for nominees to hear.'

Congratulations to all our winners on the night, some of which are photographed in the gallery below!
