Head of Fundraising & Partnerships

I was born in Islington, London and brought up in Merseyside. Despite growing up in a tough and challenging environment I managed to progress at school and graduated at university. My career then led to successfully running a leading London fashion company with a multi-million-pound turnover per year, with over 80% export.  I then made the bold, yet life changing move to focus my career in the voluntary sector by working with, supporting and setting up vitally needed youth organisations. I am passionate about empowering young people so that they can achieve their aspirations, whilst improving their health and lifestyles, no matter what their abilities. I love sports and throughout my life have done an extensive amount of voluntary work. Additionally, I have over ten years’ experience as a governor/director at John Warner School in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire.

Being the Head of Fundraising for Pro-Action, I am the chief instigator in attracting funding, growing strategic partnerships with youth organisations, statutory sector and businesses to achieve our development targets and strategic objectives.  For over 12 years I have set up and sustained award-winning projects that have transformed the lives of the young people and the communities they live in. I share my life experiences by giving motivational talks with the Prince's Trust, to help inspire young people to maximise their potential.

I have a professional yet humorous approach to life and I can speak four different languages, plus Scouse! I am a lifelong Arsenal fan and season ticket holder for 30 years, despite growing up on Merseyside. However, my guilty pleasure is supporting Tranmere Rovers to maintain my Merseyside connection!
